The Launching of Meghalaya Milk Mission on the 28th July 2018 by Union Minister, Shri Radha Mohan Singh. With a total outlay of 21548.27 lakhs and an implementation period of 8 years, this mission is aimed at improvement of Dairying in the State of Meghalaya with the Union as the Implementing Agency.
Since the implementation of the projects the achievements are as follows: 1. Renovation work of the Dairy Plant has been initiated. 2. New machineries have been procured and some has been installed. 3. Introduction of 3 mobile milk testing machines. 4. With a Project target to form 21 DCS in the District, 9 existing Dairy
