ISO 22000:2018 is a Food Safety Management System which involve policies, procedures, controls and documentation that ensures the food sold by a business is safe to eat and free from contaminants.
ISO 22000:2018 can contribute to the quality of life in general by more efficient and dynamic food safety hazard controls safe food, systematic management of prerequisite programmes, increased potential for economic growth and development, better quality and safer jobs in the food industry and efficient validation and documentation of techniques, method and procedures.
Therefore, it’s a proud moment for the East Khasi Hills District Cooperative Milk Union Ltd, Shillong, (Na Ri) and for the State on its 50th Year of Statehood to be the first Dairy Plant in the State to be ISO 22000:2018 certified.
