Achievements 2018-2019

1. Entire Plant has been renovated
2. New machineries have been installed.
3. The Capacity has been upgraded from the 10,000 LPD to 50,000 LPD.
4. At present, milk is collected through three Insulated Road Milk Tankers from the following Societies viz. Umlyngka,
Mawklot and Iatyllilang DCS. Milk is also collected in milk cans and transported to the Central Dairy in four trucks provided
by the State Government. Milk is also brought by some DCS and individual in their own vehicles.
5. Introduction of 3 mobile milk testing vehicles.
6. The Union has installed 8 Bulk Milk Coolers (BMC) and 4 Milk Can Coolers in the selected DCS. 1000 litres per day BMC was installed in Mawklot DCS, Umlyngka DCS, Mawryngkneng DCS and Iatyllilang DCS. 500 LPD BMC was installed at Umjajew DCS, Ferrando DCS, Wandaphi DCS and Mawkynroh DCS and 5 Milk Can Coolers (MCC) of 320 litres per day was installed in Tyllilang DCS, Mawiong DCS, Treiminot DCS and Nongjri DCS all of which are operational.
7. Similarly, the Union has already installed AMCUs in all the DCS provided with BMC and MCC.
8. During the period from April 2018 to March 2019, the milk procured by the Union has seen a 67% increase from an average of 9000 litres per day to an average of 15000 litres per day.
9. Milk and milk products are also being marketed throughout the state and a small quantity is also being marketed outside the state.
10. The Milk Union has been assisting the local farmers in the formation of Dairy Cooperative Societies in various parts of the State
